EXAMPLES OF EXIT AND EMERGENCY LIGHTS TEST PROCEDURES INCLUDE:
Visual and physical inspection of units, bulbs, and batteries
Test each unit to ensure that lights illuminate for a minimum of 90 min per OSHA, NFPA, and NEC standards
Adjust beams for proper alignment
Survey emergency light and exit signs for proper placement
Record make, model, location, and type of light
Check unites for damage, obstruction and illumination
Remove dust, debris, and cobwebs
Check charging circuitry to make sure it is functioning properly
Check battery and lens for corrosion
Inspect for proper mounting of exit and emergency lights
Check for cracked, loose or exposed wiring
Place testing label on emergency light
Upon completion of inspection, applicable inspection document and noted deficiencies shall be left on site and available electronicaly
